Editorial Policy

This policy governs everything published on Top 10 Streaming Services. Its purpose is simple: a visitor should be able to trust that every price, plan, trial, and channel claim was checked against the provider on the date shown, and that no claim was written to sell something.

Effective Oct 12, 2026

1. Verification

  • Prices, plan names, trial terms, stream limits, DVR limits, and device lists are verified against the provider's own website or help center. Each review lists the sources used and the access date.
  • Where the provider's page cannot be reached (some providers block automated access), we use reputable secondary reporting dated within the past 90 days and lower the confidence label on the fact. Items with low confidence are flagged for manual re-check and are described with hedged wording ("see provider", "sources conflict").
  • Channel carriage and sports rights are verified against provider lineups and league or network announcements and carry an expiry date, after which the claim must be re-verified before it is republished.
  • If a fact cannot be verified, it is not published. We write "See provider for current pricing" rather than an unsupported number.

2. What we will not publish

  • First-person testing claims, laboratory results, or hands-on experiences that did not occur.
  • Customer testimonials, user ratings, review counts, subscriber numbers, awards, or certifications we cannot verify.
  • Live counters such as "people are viewing this" or "users chose today."
  • Countdown timers, "limited time" claims without a documented end date, or any artificial scarcity.
  • "Secret", "hack", "loophole", or "backdoor" framing for ordinary offers.
  • Any suggestion that we are affiliated with or endorsed by a provider, network, or league.
  • Unlicensed IPTV services or any service that redistributes content without rights.

3. Scores and rankings

All scores follow the published methodology. Sub-scores are shown on each review with the reasoning. Scores are reviewed quarterly and whenever a material change occurs (for example, a price increase of 10 percent or more, loss of a major channel, or a merger).

4. Separation of editorial and commercial decisions

Affiliate partnerships are managed separately from editorial content. Partners do not see content before publication and cannot request changes to scores, pros and cons, or rankings. Commercial relationships may influence which providers are included and the label on CTA buttons, and may in future influence clearly labeled sponsored placements. This is disclosed on every page and in the Advertiser Disclosure.

5. Update frequency

ContentRe-verified
Prices, plans, trialsAt least every 30 days, and within 7 days of an announced change
Channel lineupsEvery 90 days and on carriage disputes
Sports rightsBefore each season; each page shows an expiry date
Device listsEvery 6 months
ScoresQuarterly
Legal and policy pagesAnnually or on legal change

Every page shows a "verified" or "updated" date. If a page's prices are more than 60 days old, they are treated as unverified and the page is corrected or taken down before any paid traffic is sent to it.

6. Use of AI tools

Drafting and research assistance tools, including AI systems, may be used to organize research and draft text. Every published fact is traced to a cited source and reviewed by a person before publication. AI-generated text is never presented as first-hand experience.

7. Corrections

Report errors to [email protected] with the page URL. Factual corrections are reviewed within two business days. Corrected pages show an updated date; material corrections are noted on the page.

8. Advertising and Google Ads

Pages that receive paid traffic are reviewed before publication against the checklist in our compliance documentation: visible disclosure, verified pricing, no unsupported trial claims, original page-specific content, working links, no redirects on load, and the same content for every visitor. Passing that review is not a guarantee of approval by any advertising platform.
