Fubo Review

Fubo is the live TV service built for fans who need their regional sports network, with real gaps and fees to understand first.

Updated Oct 12, 2026Ranked #9 of 10Live TV (sports-first)
Best for regional sports networks and soccerRanked #9 of 10
6.7/10

Quick verdict. Fubo is built for sports fans who need their local regional sports network, and it delivers that better than anyone. The missing Warner Bros. Discovery channels and the extra fees keep it out of the top half of our list.

Score follows our published ranking methodology. We have not performed hands-on lab testing; the evaluation is based on provider-published plan details and publicly documented features, verified Oct 12, 2026.

Current pricing and plans

Fubo Sports

$55.99/mo
  • Sports and news focused lineup
  • ESPN networks included
  • Fewer entertainment channels

Plan names and lineups changed several times in 2025 and 2026; confirm on the provider's site.

Fubo Pro

$88.99/mo
  • 200+ channels including locals, ESPN, FS1, NBC networks
  • Many regional sports networks (fee applies)
  • Up to 10 streams at home, unlimited DVR
  • Select sports in 4K

A Regional Sports Fee is added in markets with RSNs; the amount varies by ZIP code.

Fubo Elite

See provider
  • Pro plus extra entertainment and 4K channels

See provider for current pricing; sources we checked conflicted.

Fubo Latino

$19.99/mo
  • Spanish-language channels and soccer
  • 2 streams

Prices are recurring monthly rates for new subscribers as shown on the provider's website on Oct 12, 2026, before taxes and fees. Promotional pricing, where offered, is noted separately. Check current pricing on the provider's site.

  • As of Oct 12, 2026 the ladder runs from a lower-cost Sports tier (ESPN networks, news, and local ABC, CBS, and FOX in select markets) to Pro (full lineup with locals, ESPN, FS1, the NBC networks, and RSNs). Elite adds entertainment and 4K channels, but sources gave conflicting prices, so we list it without a figure. The Latino plan is a separate Spanish-language package.
  • Plan names have changed several times; press coverage mentions Essential and Deluxe tiers. Compare channel lists rather than names.
  • Introductory pricing is common and sometimes substantial; the regular rate applies from the second bill. Read the plan card for the recurring amount.
  • The regional sports fee is added monthly on Pro and above in ZIP codes where Fubo carries an RSN; the amount varies by market and is not charged on the Sports tier. Taxes added at checkout.
  • Add-ons include Sports Plus with NFL RedZone, international and premium packages, and extra 4K channels; see the provider for pricing.

Advantages and disadvantages

Advantages

  • Carries more regional sports networks than any other streaming service
  • Up to ten simultaneous streams at home and unlimited DVR
  • Select live sports in 4K
  • Best soccer lineup in the group (beIN, FS1, FS2, NBC and USA, ESPN)
  • No contract; free trial usually available

Limitations

  • Does not carry TNT, TBS, or truTV, so some NBA, NHL, and MLB playoff games are missing
  • Regional sports fee is added on top of the advertised price
  • Pricing and plan names changed repeatedly in 2025 and 2026, which makes budgeting hard

Fubo is a specialist. If your viewing centers on a local team's RSN, soccer, or a houseful of simultaneous sports streams, nothing on our list does the job as well. If you need the Turner networks or predictable pricing, the trade-offs are hard to justify at Pro's price plus fees.

Hulu + Live TV$99.99/mo2VariesUnlimited, 9 monthsMost markets

Starting prices are the lowest recurring monthly rate for each service's cheapest live plan as verified on Oct 12, 2026. Fubo's Pro plan and DIRECTV STREAM's CHOICE plan and above add a regional sports fee that varies by ZIP code.

DIRECTV STREAM is the closest rival, the only other streamer with broad regional sports coverage, and it also carries TNT and TBS, at a higher base price with its own RSN fee. YouTube TV costs less than Fubo Pro, has TNT, and includes all four locals in most markets, but carries far fewer RSNs. Hulu + Live TV bundles Disney+ and ESPN Select and shares Fubo's parent, but allows two streams and has limited RSNs. The comparison table covers all ten services, and the sports streaming guide ranks them by league.

Provider overview

Provider overview

  • Began in 2015 as a soccer-only service and grew into a full live TV bundle with a sports-first identity: more RSNs than any other streamer, deep international soccer, select games in 4K, and enough streams for a whole household.
  • Ownership changed in late 2025 when Disney's combination of Fubo with Hulu + Live TV closed; Disney holds roughly 70 percent of the combined business, but Fubo is sold as its own product. We review Hulu + Live TV separately because, as of Oct 12, 2026, one does not include the other.
  • Hard to evaluate for two reasons: plan names, lineups, and prices changed repeatedly in 2025 and 2026 (a long NBCUniversal carriage dispute removed NBC channels for months before a June 2026 agreement restored them and triggered a price increase), and the regional sports fee sits on top of the advertised price where Fubo carries an RSN.
  • Our confidence in Fubo's pricing is marked low in our registry; confirm every figure on the provider's checkout page.

  • Device compatibility weight 10%9/10
  • User interface weight 10%7/10
  • Subscription flexibility weight 10%7/10
  • Customer support options weight 5%6/10
  • Weakest: value 4, second-lowest on our list. Pro is high before the regional sports fee and higher after, with repeated increases including a sizable one in July 2026; missing Warner Bros. Discovery channels mean a second service for NHL on TNT or MLB postseason on TBS.
  • Support 6 on published help channels alone; no hands-on testing of response times.
  • Strongest: quality 9. Up to ten home streams, unlimited DVR, select 4K sports, and multiview, a combination no other live streamer on our list matches.
  • Devices 9 only because there is no PlayStation app.
  • Content 7: the best RSN and soccer coverage, held below the full bundles by no TNT, TBS, or truTV and the unconfirmed status of USA Network and Golf Channel after the Versant spin-off.
  • Interface 7 and flexibility 7: a capable app and no contract, offset by frequent plan reshuffles.
Main features

Main features

  • Streams. Up to ten devices on the home network, two away from home, without the extra-screen fees Hulu + Live TV charges.
  • DVR. Unlimited with nine-month retention; manage by series or team.
  • 4K. First live streamer to offer it; select events on Pro and above, mostly FOX and ESPN football, soccer, and marquee games, varying by season and requiring a compatible device.
  • Multiview on supported devices; the guide filters to sports in progress, and a sports section organizes games by league with scores and schedules.
  • On-demand catalog of recent episodes from carried networks; FanView overlay with live stats during some games.
  • No hands-on bitrate or 4K testing; the quality score reflects published capabilities.
Channel lineup and content categories

Channel lineup and content categories

  • Per our sports availability research (verified Oct 12, 2026, re-check by Jan 10, 2027): ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SEC Network, ACC Network, FS1, FS2, NFL Network, Big Ten Network, CBS Sports Network, and beIN Sports, with ESPN Unlimited content included on most plans per Fubo's app listing. Local ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX in select markets, NBC restored June 2026.
  • Regional sports networks: FanDuel Sports Networks and NBC Sports regional networks in their home markets on Pro, where the regional sports fee applies. With DIRECTV STREAM, this is the main streaming option for a local MLB, NBA, or NHL team on an RSN.
  • Gaps: no TNT, TBS, truTV, or any Warner Bros. Discovery channel, so no NHL on TNT, MLB on TBS, March Madness games on those networks, or French Open. After the Versant spin-off, USA Network and Golf Channel status was not confirmed, so verify Premier League on USA and PGA Tour on Golf Channel before subscribing. Tier placement of NBA TV, MLB Network, NHL Network, and Tennis Channel conflicts across sources; we treat them as carried with the required plan unconfirmed.
  • Soccer: beIN, FS1 and FS2, NBC, and ESPN networks make the broadest live TV soccer lineup. See the soccer streaming guide, ESPN page, and TNT page.

  • No PlayStation app for PS4 or PS5 as of Oct 12, 2026; a PlayStation-only TV needs a separate stick or box. Xbox is supported.
  • 4K needs a 4K-capable device and TV; most current Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, and Google TV models qualify.

Subscription requirements

Subscription requirements

  • Email, U.S. billing address, and a card; PayPal and app store billing also offered.
  • ZIP code at sign-up determines locals, RSNs, and the regional sports fee, so the post-ZIP price is the one that applies.
  • Home location enforced: ten streams on the home network, two away, sharing limited to one household. Locals and RSNs limited to your home market; U.S. residents only.
Cancellation considerations

Cancellation considerations

  • No contract; cancel from the account page any time. Service runs to the end of the billing period; partial months are not refunded.
  • A free trial is usually offered, generally five or seven days by plan and promotion, with a payment method required; it converts automatically, so note the end date. First-month discounts step up on the second bill.
  • App store or partner sign-ups cancel through that channel. Add-ons can be dropped individually.
  • A pause option is available in some cases, preserving DVR and settings. Our cancellation and billing guide covers each route.
Ideal customer profile

Ideal customer profile

Subscribe if:

  • Your local MLB, NBA, or NHL team airs on a FanDuel Sports Network or NBC Sports regional network with no other streaming route.
  • You follow European soccer across several leagues.
  • Your household wants many simultaneous streams without an add-on, or 4K sports on a compatible TV.
  • The Sports tier is also a reasonable mid-priced option for ESPN and local football without the full Pro lineup.

Look elsewhere if:

  • You watch the NHL on TNT, MLB on TBS, or anything on Warner Bros. Discovery networks.
  • You want a predictable bill without ZIP-based fees, or you stream on a PlayStation.
  • You want the best general-purpose cable replacement. DIRECTV STREAM covers RSNs and Turner networks together; YouTube TV is the stronger all-around choice; the live TV streaming guide compares all five.

Editorial methodology and sources

Editorial methodology and sources

  • Scores follow the weighted rubric in How We Rank.
  • Fubo's site returned an empty page to automated fetching on Oct 12, 2026, so prices come from dated third-party price checks and press coverage below and are marked low confidence in our registry because the sources conflict.
  • No hands-on lab testing of stream quality or support response times. Our editorial policy explains corrections and how often prices are rechecked.
